JAMES FARRELL Obituary

FARRELL, James T. "Jim" Passed away Monday, July 24 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judith (Hanscom) Farrell; his son Jeffrey Farrell and his fiance, Patricia Horton; his sisters Maureen Farrell, Eileen Farrell, and Rita Galvin. He was predeceased by his sister Ann Sheehan. He leaves behind nieces and nephews and many close friends. Jim served in the United States Marine Corps and was a proud volunteer of the Jamaica Plain DAV, he was also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for forty eight years. Visiting Hours: Jim wished to donate his body to Tufts University Medical School Anatomical Gift Program. There will be a memorial service at St. Bernard Church, 1523 Washington Street, West Newton, MA 02465 on August 7, 2017 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans in honor of James Farrell at www.dav.org.

Judy, Jeff, Maureen, Eileen, Rita i'm so sorry for your loss, Jim was my uncle and godfather, he was a good man and will be missed.

Jeff and Judy, I was thinking about Jimmy today and my google search led me here. I am awful sorry your husband and father passed away. One day at a time, I learned a tremendous amount about life from Jim.
