FARRELL, James M. Sr. 87, of Medford formerly of Somerville May 20, 2011. Beloved husband of Helen M. (Smith) Farrell. Loving father of James M. Farrell, Jr. and his wife Susan of Burlington and the late Kathleen A. Farrell. Devoted grandfather of Courtney Farrell of Brookline. Loving brother of William T. Farrell of Medford, Margaret Foley of Stoneham, Ellen Croteau, Alice Parker both of New Hampshire, and the late Agnes and John Farrell and Mary Recinito. Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) SOMERVILLE, Tuesday morning at 8am followed by a Funeral Service in St. Clement Church, Somerville, at 9am. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Monday 4-7pm. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Late Veteran WWII U.S. Navy, Retired Somerville Firefighter, former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #75, Somerville, and Holy Name Society, St. Clement Parish, Somerville. Jim and Elise Welch send their condolences to Jim and his family. Your father was a great pal to Jim for many years on the Fire Dept. We were both great friends to Helen and Jim and thought the world of Kathleen. Please give our condolences and love to Helen.
