Sailing against Jim and his family for over 30 years was such a great pleasure. I will miss Jim on the water and more importantly after every race as he contributed so much joy to everyone by just being there.

Feeley family, the memories that I have of 'Lil' Jim as I new him are happy ones. As a child I just remember him alway making people smile and laugh. He was so kind to my brothers and I and from reading about his adult life he continued on in doing so. We are so sorry for the loss of such a special man.

Meeting you all and sailing with you has been a great pleasure throughout the past year. Jim's ability to inspire a happy and competitive racing crew was truly a gift. Throughout the year it was a pleasure to sail with you, and to learn so much about Crow Point, sailing, and how to keep a family together.

The Feeley's joined with friends from the Hingham PHRF fleet to cruise in the Virgin Islands a few years ago.
In this photo Jim is enjoying the raft-up in Hurricane Hole, St. John, USVI.
He was always a great companion.

I'm going to miss my Rock, My Wonderful Brother, Jim! My life will never be the same~as I have had the honor to work with him for over 40+ years. Oh I never had an Uncle, but he was just awesome with his nieces and nephews. He was also a fantastic grandfather to Kathryn and James IV! He was so connected to the ocean and Hingham Bay~

Bob Papkey painted Mr. and Mrs. Feeley's Homes for years and Bob always spoke so well of the both of them. He really admired Mr. Feeley and would sometimes just stop in his business on Water St. South Quincy, just to say hello to him. Bob died of ALS in January 2001 but I am sure he would be full of sadness to know his old friend has died.

I am sorry for your loss. An enthusiastic sailor and a gentleman on and off the water, I believe Jim is sailing on to his afterlife on a starboard tack and with "all rights of way". It is my hope that the thoughts and condolences of others will bring you some comfort during your time of grievance.

To the Feeley Family,
While I never met Jim personally, I always had the greatest respect for him. Ladylove was always well sailed and extremely tough to race against. He and the family had the greatest respect from the crew of the J105 "Jaguar".

Dear Feeley Family:
I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Growing up on Kimball Beach Road, "Big Jim" was an icon and I have fond memories of him. Nice guy, never rude to anyone, never picked on anyone, and always respectful and friendly to all. May God hold him in the palm of His hand. Rest in Peace, Jim.
