To the Kacavas family! Jim would always greet me with a smile and a firm hand-shake! Following the firm handshake these words would follow; the patriots are looking for a left tackle are you going to go tryout? He and I would laugh about that! Words escape while I try to express what those kinds words meant to me. He knew that I appreciated him because I would go out of my way to speak to him. The YMCA will miss it's friend, I will miss him! God Bless you Jim!
God doesn't make any mistakes, he needed a pillar of strength and he called Jim home!
best regards,
rex

Evelyn,
We were very sad to hear about Jim's passing. We will miss seeing our good neighbor tending the yard as he so often was. Jim always had a smile and a friendly wave whenever he saw us.

To My Uncle...
I will always remember the good times and jokes that you shared with me and my family.
Your patience and knowledge were something that I always admired about you. You were a wealth of information.
Your continued support of my military and educational endeavors were appreciated. I also appreciated any and all assistance that you offered.
I enjoyed traveling to Washington, DC with you and your sharing your perspectives at the Iwo Jima Memorial and Arlington National Cemetary.

Mr. Kacavas,
Sir, I didn't know you but as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USMC during WW II in the Pacific fighting the Japanese. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines during the War that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to.
