MARCELLINO, James J. "Jim" 73, died on June 30th after a long illness in Milton, MA. He is survived by his beloved wife Stacey Baker, his children, James and Marianna, and his siblings, William, Mary, Richard, John (Jocko) and Sister Noella, O.S.B. (Martha) and Patricia Sheehan. A trial lawyer for over 35 years with an expertise in intellectual property litigation, Jim received prestigious honors and offered his legal skills in the service of innumerable philanthropic organizations. Jim received a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross, a J.D. from Boston College Law School and an M.B.A. from Boston University. Jim was a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and served as Deputy and Special Assistant Attorney General in Massachusetts, Project Director and Attorney for the Downtown Waterfront Project of the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Chairman of the Policy Advisory Board of the City of Boston Department of Health and Hospitals and as a Vista Volunteer was a Community Legal Council in Detroit, MI. Jim was President of the Boston Bar Association, the Boston College Law School Alumni Association and the Boston Inn of Court. Jim was also a member of the High Technology Committee of the Center for Public Resources and the Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights Under the Law. Jim held a position as an Adjunct Faculty member at Boston College Law School. An accomplished football player, Jim was the recipient of the O'Melia Award and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Archbishop Williams High School and Holy Cross College. Jim will be remembered by family and friends for his generosity, his brilliant humor, and capacity to light up a room. Private service and burial are planned.
