JAMES PENDERGAST Obituary

PENDERGAST, James E. Sr. Formerly of Wells, Maine and Natick, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2021 in Kennebunk, Maine. Jim, as he was known to all, was born and raised in Waltham, Massachusetts. He was the son of John and Mary (Hurley) Pendergast. He married the love of his life, Anne (Reilly) Pendergast on May 15, 1954. They shared 60 loving years together raising three sons. Jim worked at New England telephone in Needham, MA for thirty years before retiring to Wells, Maine. Jim was predeceased by wife Anne, son James Pendergast, Jr., siblings William Pendergast, John Pendergast, Daniel Pendergast, Matthew Pendergast, Richard Pendergast and Dorothy Aborn. James is survived by his two sons Stephen Pendergast and Kevin Pendergast, daughters in-law Lisa Pendergast and Heather Pendergast, sister Mary Keyes, grandchildren Lily Pendergast, Gerald Pendergast and Riley Pendergast along with countless nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, Wells, ME 04090. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Saint Mary's Church, 236 Eldridge Rd., Wells, ME 04090 with interment at Ocean View Cemetery in Wells. Should friends choose to contribute, memorial donations in Jim's memory are encouraged to: St. Mary's Ecumenical Food Pantry, 236 Eldridge Road, Wells, ME 04090. Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, PO Box 910, Wells, ME 04090.
