James Tosney Obituary

TOSNEY, James J. 91, of North Andover died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Mary Immaculate Restorative and Nursing Center in Lawrence. He was the son of the late Joseph A. and Anna (Hausler) Tosney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in WW II. Jim was the devoted brother of Eileen M. Tosney of North Andover and Atty. Joseph A. Tosney of Newton MA. He was also the devoted uncle to his beloved nieces and nephews, Joseph A. Tosney III and his wife Teresa of Rancho Palos Verdes CA, Virginia T. Trask and her husband Dale of Swampscott MA, Eileen T. Mills and her husband Walter B. Jr. of Walpole MA, Joan C. Ayotte and her husband Gary of Newburyport, John K. Tosney of Newton MA., James W. Tosney and his wife Ericka Stewart of Los Angeles and Elizabeth Sierra and her husband Ray of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by beloved great nephews and nieces, Brendon, Rian, Conor, Lindsey, Gillian, Rachel, Gavin, Timothy and Ronan. He was predeceased by his sister in law Virginia Collins Tosney and his great nephew Joseph Alohilani Tosney. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Michael's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Lawrence. Family and friends may call also on Wednesday from 9:30-11:30 at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover. Memorial contributions may be made to Mary Immaculate Restorative and Nuring Center, 172 Lawrence St., Lawrence MA 01841 or to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., BLDG. 9, Lawrence MA 01843.
