Mrs. McConathy was my 5th and 6th grade teacher while at Lilja and Wilson Middle School. She helped to change my academic path in more ways then I can explain. Today, I am a 5th grade teacher in Plainville because of her influence on me as both a student and person. Thank you Mrs. McConathy I will always remember you.

Sincerely,

Will Goulart

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs. McConathy. I can honestly say she was the sweetest teacher I NEVER had. Somehow, however, my qualities as a student must have reached her because she was very complementary to me at all times. I believe my younger sister Julee had her for English. What a terrible loss to hear of someone so brilliant, educated, religious, wise, kind and cultured being taken from us. My deepest condolences to her family.

As my favorite 6th grade teacher, I have so many memories from your classroom. From the poetry and english literature that you helped me to appreciate, to the kind words that you had for each child. You were an extraordinary teacher. Thank you, and rest in peace.

One of my favorite teachers! I still have a note she wrote me in a scrapbook! She lead me to some of my favorite books I have ever read to include "My Side of the Mountain" and "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" and most importantly the book that influenced me the most "
Woman Ambulamce Driver".....this sparked my journey to become a doctor.....my career and vocation! So she was not a small influence!! A treasured teacher that like so many did not know their vast influence! I remember how she spoke of Jonathon....RIP Mrs Mconathy

Still to this day I can clearly remember standing in front of her class having to recite poems and I can also say I still remember most of them. One of the most memorable teachers I've ever had! My respects to the family in this sad time.

I had Mrs. McConathy for 6th grade language arts...1998/1999. My prayers are with her family and friends, she truly touched my life and inspired me in poetry and public speaking. She always spoke fondly of her loves, Ozzie and Johnathan, in class.
