It doesn't seem all that long ago that we said goodby to Joe Eldred. I hope and pray that you two are sharing a joke and good laugh in much the same way as you did years ago. God Bless.

John, you were such a survivor until the end, we were all praying for you, esp. Cameron who would bless you each and every evening. We will miss your Irish Wit and we know the love you had for being at White Horse Beach with your family and friends. Your family will always have the flag going so friends will know that there is a special place for those who want to stop by.

God Bless you and some day we shall all celebrate together again.

With Love from, Ed, Joanne, Kim, Jerry, Billy and Mark Stachelski

The flag at White Horse Beach doesn't seem to fly as high as it always did, and the Irish music doesn't sound quite as vibrant as it once did.

Once again our family has lost someone so very, very special -

our brother-in-law John.

John was a devoted and loving husband, father, an amazing grandfather, and loved by so many people - our hearts are broken as we grieve the loss of this amazing man.

People say time heals, but I often question that -- As I make the turn on Taylor Ave. so often, I feel a void in my heart -- things down at the beach just don't seem the same any more.

Oh how I remember how loving, kind and gentle Uncle John was to my kids when they would go fishing on the pond or just drop by. He was always so good to them. As we all know, he was so good to everyone - he made us all feel special - not many people have this gift.

We will cherish the good times - God there were so many - and the fond memories of him forever in our hearts.

We'll never know why God took him from his family at such a young age - how true the good die young.

John was a humble man - he will always be and inspiration to us.

We miss you dearly.

All our love,

Ginny and Dennis

Conway family,

I want you to know that John was loved by so many people. He was a hero in many eyes. He loved to be @ his house in Plymouth and was upset that this was the first year he didn't get to go down there. So when you are @ that house know that he is right there with you. He took a piece of everyone with him when he left and will remain in our hearts forever. John Jr be strong you have a lot of people who love you !!!!!! Just remember now the Conway family has a guardian angel

RIP JOHN

July 25, 2002

We may not see our Angel,

Yet we know he will be there

Watching over all of us,

though we will be unaware.

John will bring us peace and comfort

and messages from the Lord

He will send us those beautiful memories

and keep us from being bored.

He will always stand at our side

so we'll never be alone.

He'll give us the strength and courage to journey through our life

and face all of the unknown.

I believe he will be there waiting

to answer all our prayers

Although we may not see him,

Hewill always be there.

We love you and miss you so much

May you always walk in sunshine
And God's love around you flow
For the happiness you gave us
No one will ever know
It broke our hearts to lose you
Though you didn't go alone
A part of us went with you
The day God called you home
A million times we'll need you
A million times we've cried
If only love could have saved you
You never would have died.

Uncle John,

Always with a smile on his face and ready to crack a joke.

So strong, courageous, loving and kind to all his friends and family.

The only person I know that would flock to the ocean when a storm was coming.

"Are you kidding me? this is the best place to be," Uncle would say sitting in our backyard as the waves were crashing and the wind was picking up. Then he would go into a story of how during the Perfect Storm, waves were going over our house and all the roads were closed because they were filled with sand.

We talked about how we should enjoy the waterfront property because it probably would only be around during our lifetime, and who knows when the next "big storm" would hit.

Well Unks, you are that million dollar view on the water! While others are taking shelter from the storm you are so excited to see what beauty and intensity the ocean and life can bring.

I know now the ocean is tranquil and serene but next time the wind starts picking up and the waves are getting bigger; I know you will be there having a part in it all, enjoying the greatness of the ocean but still looking out for us with that excited grin on your face.

We will all love and miss you Uncle!

To: All

My family, friends and I will all dearly miss my Uncle John's presence here on earth. When around you, he always made you smile or laugh with a funny remark - all the way up until the week he left us. He was never happier than when he sat on the porch at his Plymouth house having a beer. This great man is certainly someone that we can all learn from - with the simplest things in life making him/us the happiest! Now Uncle, I know you will watch over all of us and keep us safe under One___, while we keep the memories and pictures close at hand and heart. LUV YA,...

DAV Chapter #27

July 22, 2002

One of "Somerville's Finest" is an understatement.

The Kelleher Family

July 22, 2002

Like all of the families within our family we grive for the loss of Uncle John and pray for Ellen, Johnny and Steven. At the same time we look back with fond memories on the life of Uncle John. He was a great person who we always enjoyed being around. He fought with great courage and will always be a source of inspiration. We will miss Uncle John and we will never forget the many times together, the laughs and the times in Plymouth.

May God bless him and keep him well in heaven.

To a wonderful uncle, husband and father who will be dearly missed.

To my Irish Uncle who had a zest for life, who was so soft spoken,

but yet said so much in few words. Who loved his family, Plymouth, his front porch and to the skipper who manned the line with Captain Dennis was the first mate of White Horse Beach. Plymouth will never

be the same but we have so many fond memories of you

Uncle ones we will never forget…

You are with God now who will take care and watch over you…

Irish eyes are smiling!

When tomorrow starts without me

and I'm not here to see...

If the sun should rise and find your

eyes filled with tears for me,

I wish so much you wouldn't cry

the way you did today...

While thinking of the many things

we didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,

as much as I love you...

And each time you think of me,

I know you'll miss me, too.

But when tomorrow starts without me,

please try to understand...

That Jesus came and called my name

and took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready

in heaven far above...

And that I'd have to leave behind

all those I dearly love.

So when tomorrow starts without me,

don't think we're far apart...

For every time you think of me,

I'm right here in your heart.

A beacon of light from White Horse Beach is gone. He leaves a vacant place in our hearts, Which never can be filled.

A voice we loved is stilled, yet his voice leaves an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

Farewell dear John, your life is past, everyone's love for you will always last.
