I've sat here for thirty minutes now trying to find the words to describe a man who taught me so many things. As the snow fell the day after his death, I began to recall all the memories I had of Jack. From the ski trails to the discussions of real estate, I was always learning from Jack. He was the perfect rolemodel. I can only dream of being as great of a person as he was to our family and to society. I continuously hear of Jack's accomplishments but they don't compare to the feeling of importance you felt while being around Jack. He made you feel special.
It was hard for me to come back to Boston College after the funeral. He had such an impact on BC. But now as I walk through the campus I know he is with me...and when I try to procrastinate on my homework I can almost hear him telling me to sit down and just do it, and to do it well.
As the winter approaches, I can't wait for ski season to begin so I can practice the parallel turns Jack taught me and know that he is smiling down. So, when the snow falls this winter think of Jack.

One of the biggest tragedies in my life is the loss of my uncle Jack. His courage, generosity and compassion should be an example to those who knew him.

John Corcoran was a kind man. I'll always remember his kindnesses to my family and also to my mother-in law, Helen Dunn Driscoll. He and his wife Mary would often invite my widowed mother-in-law to dine with them as well as invite her to their summer home. Many a time Helen would say how she appreciated their warm and generous friendship. God Bless the Corcoran Family.

When I think about people and their desire to live a full and happy life there are few names that can be linked to achieving that goal. Jack; in my mind, personified living a full life. He was always an incredible friend to my dad and our family. My fondest memory of him will always be the time we spent skiing at Attitash and staying in the Bartlet Inn. Those were magical times for me as a child, and Jack simply made it that way. Thank you Jack, rest in peace, and my heart is with all of your family.

I just received an email from Kay Dunn with the sad news about Jack. I want to express my sorrow to all the family on the loss of an outstanding gentleman. We probably hadn't seen one another in nearly 60 years, but we shared many memories of growing up on Rowell Street/Cushing Avenue. He will be greatly missed.
