It’s been nearly two years since Jack passed and I only learned of it today. I knew Jack through the Justice Alliance at the La Salette Shrine back in the early-to-mid-1990’s. Jack helped form the Alliance which was meant to create a space of welcoming and understanding for gay Catholics. Jack was a good and committed friend to the gay community at a time when such straight allies were few and far between. He was just a good and decent man who cared about the welfare of others – his family, his community, our society and our world. It was a pleasure and an honor to know him. My condolences to Jack’s family and to all who knew him well and miss him.

I'm am so sorry to learn about his passing especially at this late date. I met Jack when I lived my dream to live in Rye close to the ocean. I found Jack's Rye Reflection on ling and wrote him a note of my love for Rye since I was a little boy. Jack wrote back and said, "You didn't tell me you're a writer." He drafted me in with his publican with about 6-7 other folks. We were called "The Silver Surfers." Jack was so so good to me. I learned a lot from him. Very patient and a funny guy at times. I was only a writer for Rye Reflections for about 8 months, then moved to my childhood home town in Athol, Ma. Prior to Rye I had a house in Goffstown, NH where my daughter I had lived for many years. There is barely a day that goes by that I don't think of him and his great sense of humor. Jack! I'm sure you are in Heaven and cracking God up and the angels with your bubbly sense of humor. Jack, you are well loved and missed. I look forward to seeing you again. To Jack's family, loved one and friends, I offer my sincere condolences from my heart. I grieve with you.

My Deepest Sympathy to all of Jack's family. My heart is heavy after just finding out about Jack. I am Jack's stylist and he was my all time favorite client. I loved his stories and knowledge. He was the kindest most soft spoken person I have met and I am truly honored to have had the opportunity to have known him. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Rest easy my friend.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Driscoll clan. To have known Jack and Delores was to have known two of the finest. His wit and clear thinking mind were a treasure. He has left the world a better place.

Dear Betty and David, My sincere condolences. Jack was a wonderful person and a great friend. I am thinking of all the good times we had when Jack and Jim started the Melrose Mirror with the help of MIT. Thanks to him I have many great memories of our meetings, our trips to MIT and, of course, the trip that he arranged for four of us to go to Ireland. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all his family.

I had the privilege of befriending Jack, who was a regular customer of my little café in Rye. (The Hungry Horse) Jack was always my first customer of the day; his punctuality kept me on my toes! He was a true "peach" of a guy; anyone who met him was in for a treat. His upbeat spirit, even as his health declined in the last few years, was a testimony to his great spirit. He gave me a copy of his book about his family which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was able to visit him at his Rye home last summer and we had a delightful gabfest. I consider myself a very lucky guy to have met him. I`m thinking of the entire Driscoll family at this very sad time. You should be very proud to have a man like Jack who lived an exemplary life.

Dear Driscoll Family, I am very sorry to hear that Jack has passed away. I was an alumnus of Junior Journal, and Jack has directly advised and guided me. Jack's wisdom and compassion has brightened my life, and I am greatly indebted to him. I will try my best to follow his foot steps. My thoughts are with you.

I met Jack Driscoll when I joined the Silver Stringers/ Melrose Mirror. He helped get the system back when it went down. If there was a question about an article, he had the answer. When he came to a meeting he usually had suggestions for us. No matter what, he was there. Always kind and helpful. The Stringers have a deep sense of the loss of a great man.

Dear Driscoll Family, I am so sorry to hear about Jack's passing. He was extremely successful, but also approachable, humble and down to earth, which is a rare combination. I always enjoyed the opportunities I had to speak with him.

My condolences to the Driscoll family.
I was a Creative Director at the Ad Agency (Hill Holiday) that handled the Boston Globe's advertising in the age of Jack Driscoll/Tom Winship, the best years of The Boston Globe.
I knew even then it was the Golden Age of reporting and journalism at the Globe from the Sports pages to the spotlight teams.
While what Jack did was important but it was also a lot of fun to work with Jack on the Globe account.
Jack Driscoll didn't always agree with everything we wanted to do but he was a master at getting the best out of everyone at the Globe and everyone that worked on it's advertising account.
My best to you all in the future and again my condolences to you on your loss.

Sending sympathy and condolences to Jack's family. He and Delores were long-time supporters of New Hampshire Theatre Project here in Portsmouth, and always a font of wisdom and wit. He will be deeply missed.

It was a true pleasure to have met and provided assistance to Jack. He was a kind, gentle, caring - a gentleman in every way. We all loved his stories and sure wish that he was able to publish that book he
was working on. Jack was a blessing to all he encountered. God Speed Jack.

I always felt Jack had my back at the Globe, negotiating with the Sports Dept. to hire me when I was a spare and then supporting me as both an editor and a writer when I became TV critic.
