Very sorry for your loss.
Mr Fitzgerald taught me bio in 1975/1976 he was an awesome teacher who cared about his
students. I will never forget him.
He attended our MHS class reunion a few years back along with Mr Francesci It was great to see these teachers sharing time together. They took the time to see the class of 1978 - we shared stories & laughs with them. Mr Fitzgerald will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Fitz and I worked across the corridor from each other in Medford High's Science Department from opening day in 1970 until I left a decade later. I was saddened today to hear of the passing of a fine colleague who enriched the lives of so many people, both teachers and students at MHS. Jack Kurdzionak, Campton NH

To the family of Mr Fitz....I was fortunate enough to tell my children about a teacher that had a huge impact on me, a teacher that made a difference in my life. My boys were lucky enough to meet him in Melrose one day while we were shopping... and I had the pleasure of running in to him at Dunks on my early morning walks. He was caring and kind...and truly genuine.. And always took the time to talk. He was a great teacher, listener, and person. I am so sorry for your loss.....
