JOHN E. GREENE

GREENE, John E. Of Hingham (formerly of South Weymouth), passed away November 28, 2021. He was born in Dorchester to the late Robert S. and Helen S. Greene. Following his graduation from Boston College in 1961, he served proudly in the US Army. John worked for many years in system design, during the infancy of computers. In later years, he owned his own computer consulting firm, ISS Inc. For over 40 years, John was actively involved in Glastonbury Abbey. He enjoyed his many electronic toys and spending time with his family and friends.

Beloved husband of 58 years to Patricia (Gibbons) Greene, loving father of John E. "Jack" Greene Jr. and his wife Nathalie M. of Reston, VA, Catherine M. Greene of Scituate, Michael J. Greene and his wife Christina S. of Scituate. Dear brother of the late COL (Ret.) Robert F. Greene and the late Judith A. Canavan and brother-in-law of the late Winifred G. Simmons. Cherished Pops of Meghan L., Patrick J., Nathan J., Claire C., and Maeve M. He is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the Visiting Hours on Wednesday, 4-8 PM, in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). All other services will be at a later date.
