I looked back at this guest book, and I can't believe how long it has been. I remember hearing about John, and I was really sad because of what a fun and enthusiastic individual he was. We would often connect at APO Conventions, and I always looked forward to talking with him. I really miss you John.

Our condolences to Kathy and the rest of John's family. We remember her being so proud of him and of all her treks back and forth to school, moving him out of one place and into another. I'm sure he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

John, you are too young to go now yet having known you for this brief period I am comforted that you will remain in my memory much longer.
An old friend.

John, I'm going to miss you. I'll cherish our online conversations, the once in a blue moon phone calls, nationals 1998, 2000, and my tour of Boston in July 2002. Thank you for being a tiggerific brother and friend.
In LFS,

John, you will be missed. I wish we'd been able to hang out more often, and recall the last time we spent time catching up over dinner at the Sunset... Safe journeys, wherever you now roam.

I only got to meet John a couple of times at conventions, but it didn't take long for me to be left with one impression: If you need an example of what being a leader, being a friend, and being of service is about, look no further than John Grossi.
Farewell, my brother.

I'll miss you John. I'll miss the road trips that always seemed to go through Montreal. The trip from Maine to Syracuse via Canada....What's the safest speed on grooved pavement? How does Ontario make you feel? He'll always have a place in my heart.

Few people would go halfway around the northeast just to pick them up or give them a hug. This was -is- John. We enjoyed golfing together - he's just got the better course now. See you in the clubhouse, my friend.

Brother John S. Grossi exemplified the L-F-S tenets of Alpha Phi Omega and made a difference in Canadian extension work and Alpha Phi Omega service worldwide--in my book a modern day APhi-O hero. He will be missed. May his soul rest in peace.

There are simply no words to express one's grief at a loss such as this. John, without your presence, this world will be far less interesting. Our love to you, now and later.

John was a true example of what a Brother of Alpha Phi Omega could be! His loss will be felt across the country, but the hundreds of lives he touched as a personality, and the thousands he touched thru his charitable works.
Most sincere condolences, and good thoughts to his family and friends from way across the US!

Our deepest sympathy, prayers, and all our love to Kyle and the rest of John's loved ones. John, we'll bring the lemon bars when APO charters a chapter in Canada, just like we promised, old pal...one more road trip, just for you. We love you and we miss you.

I will always remember John’s thinking and directions when it came to going anywhere. Wherever his friends were it was on his way to the final destination. Even if it meant going from Boston to Castine via Farmington just to get to UNH. There was always room in his car and a can of Tab if you got thirsty, along with open ears willing to listen and a laugh to cheer you up. I’ll miss you Brother Big Tuna.

I am a fellow APO member and didn't know John very well but am very aware of the amazing difference he made through our organization. People who dedicate their lives to such amazing work the way he did are true heros, and now I think he's a true angel as well! You will be greatly missed by many John.
