Our deepest sympathy to Shirley and family. John was a wonderful man. He was so full of excitement and life every time we saw him. He always had a smile for you at every ice skating competition you might find him at. He always made you feel special. The skating world has lost a true friend. He will be missed by all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

As the father of my good friend Bill, I saw John Holdsworth as intelligent, supportive, and giving, and a very sharp wit. My sympathy and thoughts are with the entire family.

I always loved watching John's eyes light up when he knew that Shirley was going to be visiting with him soon. I am honored to have been a part of John's life, and treasure the example that he gave to me and others here, at Good Shepherd Healthcare Center. I will miss John, and the work that we did together.
