JOHN J. HOWARD

HOWARD, John J. Beloved husband of 67 years, to Alice (Drummey) Howard. Loving father of Michael Howard and his wife Paula, John J. Howard Jr., Stephen Howard and his wife Chantal, Maribeth Laurentano and her husband Anthony, Lynda Rogers and her husband Todd. Dear grandfather of Olivia, Julianna, Jared and Zachary. Former Senior Vice President of Security National Bank in Lynn, MA. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. A graduate of Bentley College and The University of Wisconsin, with a Masters degree in Bank Administration. He was employed by the Comptroller of the Currency, working as a National Bank Examiner for ten years, before serving in numerous capacities at Security National Bank. He was a member of the American Legion Post 45 in Medford, MA (Lifetime Membership), and the Knights of Columbus. An avid sports fan, he followed all Boston Sports teams, and was a loyal fan of Notre Dame Football dating back to the 1930's. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for John, Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 11:00am, at St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. www.stjude.org
