JOHN LAEZZA Obituary

LAEZZA, John J. Of Malden, MA, passed away on December 24th. John was born in East Boston on May 27th 1940 and grew up in Revere, MA. The son of Giovanni and Victtoria (DeMarino) Laezza. John married Rosemary (Turner) and the two have been together for 47 years. John later served in the Army from the years 1959 – 1962 and went on to serve in the Massachusetts 182 National Guard in Melrose for many years until he retired as an E-8. John also worked as a designer for Baird in Bedford, MA and M&M Liquors as a clerk. In John's free time he enjoyed spending time with his wife, loved to draw, was a coin collector, enjoyed building things with Legos and the time he spent with his grandchildren especially his oldest grandson Patrick. He is survived by his sons John Laezza, Jr. and his wife Jaime of Michigan and James Howard and his wife Sarah of Virginia, his daughters Christine Nelson of Malden, Andrea Dupras and her husband John of Vermont and Carolyn Laezza of California, his brothers Peter Leizza of Revere, Nicholas Laezza of Revere, his sister Victoria Wilshusen of Revere, his 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents Giovanni and Victtoria (DeMarino) Laezza, his sister Josephine Kennedy, and his sister and brother-in-law Rose and Joseph Piazza. Graveside services for John will be held at a date to be determined.
