John Livingstone Obituary

LIVINGSTONE, John J. "Doc" Of Middleboro, formerly of Dorchester, Milton, Quincy and Halifax, on May 31st after a brief illness. He served 4 years in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. John is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Gail (Maloney-Peterson); his son John "Jack" and his wife Rita of Melrose; his daughters: Ann Marie Dorsey and her husband Robert of Milton, Jane Ricardi and her husband Philip of Kingston and Lisa Veronneau and her husband Mark of Staffordsville, KY. He is also survived by his brothers: Stanley of Quincy, Francis of West Yarmouth and David of Hyde Park. He was the brother of the late Paul Livingstone. He was the former husband of the late Marie (Clark) Livingstone. John is also survived by his grandchildren: Michael and Kate Dorsey; Marissa Paine; Brian, Chris, Daunielle and Alisha Ricardi; Adelle and Julia Veronneau and his great-grandson Maxson John, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth on Monday, June 7th at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Sunday, June 6th from 3 to 7 PM. Burial will take place at the National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:00 PM, following the funeral service. Memorials in John's name may be sent to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Cr. Our deepest sympathy to you Gail and your family. I feel honored to have known John. He was such a kind and generous man. In time the hole you feel in your heart will be filled with peace from the many happy memories you have. Find strength in the love from family and friends. God Bless.

We are deeply saddened by John's passing. We always considered him a fine gentleman. Vivian and I remember how generous he was in sharing his beautiful tomatoes grown in his Oak Point garden plot with us. We know he will be missed by many. May he rest in peace..... well i never met Mr. Livingston we just shared so many things i was born in somerville lived there for awhile as a child.Then moved to Dorchester and a few years later Quincy then Halifax.God bless you sir you are living in paradise now and some day i will also live in a place you have once again.Rest in peace
