Of Westwood July 13, 2008. Beloved husband of 56 years of Mayanne (Murray) Lynch of Westwood. Devoted father of John. H. Lynch, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Westwood, Bruce D. Lynch. of Dover, Brian D. Lynch of Newport Beach, CA, Kathleen M. Lynch of Dover, and Peter J. Lynch of Westwood. Loving grandfather of John H. Lynch, III of Walpole and Patrick W., Michael F., and Matthew W. Lynch, all of Westwood. Dear brother of C. Thomas Lynch and his wife Helen of Norwood, Abbie M. Lynch of Westwood, the late William F. Lynch and his surviving wife Jean of Westwood, and the late Frances G. Bergen and her surviving husband Bill of Westwood. Also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Funeral, from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High Street DEDHAM, Thursday morning at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington Street, Westwood, at 9 AM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at New Westwood Cemetery, Westwood. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. John was Captain of the 1941 Dedham High School Hockey Team, U.S. Army Veteran, World War II, Member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 18 in Dedham, Member of VFW Post 2017 in Dedham and Retired Employee of the New England Telephone Company with over 46 years of service.
