When I was working at Bellofram I ran softball teams that played to raise funds for The Jimmy Fund. Mr Taplin always duplicated the amount that we raised. That was greatly appreciated by myself and The
Jimmy Fund.

I am sad to learn of John's passing. I always enjoyed him visiting Harvard Medical School to meet with staff for his Funds for Discovery program. I was just a staff assistant but was ill at home and missed one of John's visits. He was so thoughtful to wish me quick recovery he sent flowers to my home in New Hampshire.
His thoughtfulness and generosity will be missed.

I realize John made amazing contributions to society and helped countless people, but I want people to also know he was an amazing grandfather who took great joy in keeping a young boy entertained with his stories and trips to his factories.
He had an uncanny ability of taking complex principles and making them easy for a boy to comprehend through the medium of small scientific projects.
People, don't ever become too involved in your own career and day to day issues that you lose contact with those who had a such a significant impact in your life.
I regret the fact that I did just that.
I'll miss you, Grandpa.

We are all so sad to hear about John's passing. We enjoyed having him as part of our office suite. I liked his random phone calls and always enjoyed talking with him, he was an inspiration to us all!
John will surely be missed, but his memory will always be with us. We are so glad that we had the opportunity to have been a part of his life.
