I also worked with John until he retired, I worked in the IRA Dept with Violet Apalakian until 1996. I would help in the Mailroom when we had mailings for our department. John was a great and funny guy and yes the stories he would tell were great and funny. John would make my day when I would go to the mailroom daily he made you feel like family.
My deepest sympathies for your loss.

I worked with John from August of 1986 until his retirement in December of 1993. Although I had worked in a different department on occasion I'd help him out when they needed "kits" put together for mailing out to new and existing shareholders. John was always a cheerful guy and always had a smile on his face! I always enjoyed my visits to the mailroom because he always had a story to tell (kept me away from my job a bit longer than it should have but his stories were well worth it)! John was a great guy and will be missed.

I worked with John at Vance Sanders in the mail room in 1963-1964 during the summer months while I was going to college. He was a hard and devoted worker and he always spoke very highly of his wife, Helen. For several years after I left Vance Sanders I returned almost weekly to visit the " boys" and discuss world events and sports. John was a wonderful man and over the years I often wondered what became of him. Saturday I sadly read his obituary but was absolutely amazed to see 72 years of marriage to Helen. An absolute testimony to both John and Helen.
I can jus read between the lines and see that John brought up a very loving and caring family.
God bless him.
