Joseph Stuart BUCKLEY

BUCKLEY, Joseph Stuart Jr. Age 74, of Ashland, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on April 17, 2025, after a long illness. Born in Malden, he was the son of the late Joseph Stuart Buckley, Sr. and Audrey Buckley (Hanifan).

He was the beloved husband of Dawne Buckley (desRosiers); devoted father of Jennifer Dalen (Richard), Bryce Buckley (Panasaya), Timothy Buckley (Cassie); and loving grandfather of Addison, Avery, Sloane, Archer, Jackson and Theo. He is survived by his brothers, Jeff (Chris) and Gary (Susan); sister, Mary Ann; and sister-in-law, Nancy; mother-in-law, Kathleen; brother-in-law, Jared desRosiers (Jennifer); sisters-in-law, Nicky Jones (Dave), Lisa Holt (Bob) and Jannie Berman (Larry); and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Peter; and brother-in-law, Paul.

Joe was a longtime partner at Morrison Mahoney LLP in Boston, before retiring to devote time to his family. He lived a good life, one conducted with the utmost honesty and integrity. He was an avid Boston sports fan, attending many games and watching more at home with his family. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, who adored him.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 23, at 11:00am, in St. Bridget Parish, 830 Worcester Rd., Framingham, MA. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, from 4:00-7:00pm, in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., ASHLAND, MA.
