Joe represented John Hancock for a product they acquired from my employer. For about 15 years we spoke several times a year and met annually; he was beloved by our product team! Always kind, fun, warm, knowledgeable, and reliable, we loved working with Joe. Job changes ended our routine contact, but we shared an occasional coffee break by phone. The last time we spoke in 2016, he spoke proudly of Michael - a freshman at Holy Cross, and Jill - a high school sophomore. Know that as dedicated to his job as Joe was, he was always a whole-life guy -- Lisa, Michael, and Jill were always top-of-mind.

It was time for another coffee break this week when I learned of his untimely passing. I'm deeply saddened and so very sorry for your great loss. I do hope that time and his wonderful spirit are bringing a smile to your face before a tear to the eye, but if not yet, stay with your grief until it does, for it shall come one day. He will be missed by so many others that you don't even know; we walk with you in spirit.

Blessings

I'm saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I worked with him at JH when I lived in Boston and he always brought a smile to my face with his jokes and jovial attitude. I fondly remember him visiting me at the Sox games when I was working, again always with a warm smile. May God carry Lisa and his children as well as his extended family through this time.

So shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of Joe. I worked with Joe at John Hancock for a few years. He always made my job easier with his smile and easy way. Although we did not work together closely in the recent past years, it was always a welcome site to pass him in the halls and chit chat. I honestly had no idea Joe was ill and his passing has impacted me. Prayers to you and your family.

It was an honor to work with Joe during his career at John Hancock. Joe was a tremendous professional and made a major impact in every role he had as he progressed through the company. Joe also made a huge impact as a person - always happy to help others, always upbeat and enthusiastic, and always smiling. Nothing made Joe smile though like talking about Lisa, Mike, and Jill. My thoughts are with you.

Heaven has gained an Angel who was much too young to take. Sometimes it simply doesn't make sense. Sleep well my childhood friend. Please great me when I get there. Xoxoxo ❤

A consummate professional with a smile always on his face, Joe brightened the work place and was a pleasure to be around. Family doesn't always see how their loved one acts during the day to day office grind. But know this, Joe knew his work, did it well, and treated everyone with respect. We all need more Joe D'Alessio's in our lives smiling, patient, and always willing to help. He will be missed here at John Hancock as a co-worker but even more so as a kind human being. Rest in Peace, Joe.

It is with great sadness I have learned of Joes passing. Joe and I worked together at John Hancock several years ago and formed a great friendship. Like all things, lives changed and we moved on but still talked from time to time. Joe was a great guy and a devoted family man and a pretty good golfer too. My sincere condolences to Lisa, Mike and Jill. Rest in peace Joseph.
