I’m devastated by Joe’s loss as we were great friends for over 58 years. It now painfully feels like a part of me is missing. My profound condolences to his wonderful caregiver Neice Michelle and his brother Gerald Both Whom he loved deeply. His last difficult years would have been much harder without Michelle’s loving care and attention he told me more than once in the past months . And condolences to to his great neighbour and caregiving friend Tom P. Alas I’ve been denied being able to go down and visit him from Toronto since the pandemic struck but I talked with him regularly on the phone weekly for the past year (and visited with him regularly before Covid.) He was usually very upbeat and calm to talk with though suffering the cruel effects of kidney disease & gruelling dialysis for the past three years. Through thick & thin Joe was always a kind, intelligent, loving. sensitive, calm voice of reason in my life . I shall miss him a great deal. Some friendships are irreplaceable. RIP joe ! Goodbye my loving, lifelong friend.

A soothing, calm and friendly presence. He will be sorely missed by his many deeply neurotic friends. How did he put up with us?
