JOSEPH F. SANTORO

SANTORO, Joseph F. Age 79, of Braintree, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on January 30, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late P. Charles and Helen (Keohane) Santoro, he was born in Boston, on July 20, 1942. He was raised in both the Mission Hill and Dorchester areas of Boston, before moving to Braintree, some fifty years ago. Joe is survived by his two loving children Karen A. Laitinen and Joseph E. Santoro; along with his five cherished grandchildren, Stephen McGrath, Shauna (McGrath) Ek, Nicholas McGrath, Kaylee Laitinen and Conner Laitinen; his devoted brother Robert (Bobby) Santoro, with whom he resided at their family home for many years. Also, his sister Maria Santoro and her daughter Jennifer Beatty, many cousins, and for several years Joe has enjoyed the companionship of his dear friend Joan Nelson. He will be sorely missed by all of us who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 15th, at 10 am, in Boston at The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church), located at 1545 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02120.
