Dear Lauren and Justin,
We're so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I am Ed's nephew. Although I only met Joe a few times when I was young and haven't seen him in many years, I recognized his face instantly and remembered his warm, positive energy and smile. His presence has left a strong impression even after many years.

I was a friend of Joe from our freshman year at The Cross. We enjoyed many bridge games with Jack Facey, Tom Gifford, Joe O´Brien and many others.

Dear Lauren and Justin,
I am a classmate of Joe's from HolyCross. I was privileged to get to know Joe beginning freshman year on Carlin 2 and that friendship continued until his passing last week. I loved the long distance catching up we did when we were able to connect. Also thankful I got to visit in person last year.
I am so sorry to hear about his passing. My thoughts and prayers also go out to both of you at this time.

Joe and I reconnected at our recent Holy Cross reunions. He was a free spirit, fellow sports official and golfing partner. Joe just being Joe helps me to remember the good times we spent together. RIP

I knew Joe through EMASS senior softball, loved talking baseball and as a player you knew you were playing in front of one of the best umpires. Joe will be missed, but not forgotten

I met Joe through softball and baseball.He was one umpire I could always count on. I always enjoyed our conversations and he always talked about his son and his baseball. I will miss you calling the game Joe! Thank you for always willing to support Waltham Girls Softball and show up when we needed you.

Joe was a great guy. I knew him well at Holy Cross. We were bridge partners and even got a few tenths of a master point. I always looked forward to seeing him at our reunions. He will be missed by all.

I knew Joe since freshman year at Holy Cross, and we stayed friends ever since. While our connections got more distant in later years, I looked forward to seeing him every five years at the reunions. Played a lot of bridge with Joe at holy Cross, he´s probably organizing a duplicate tournament right now!
