Joseph Slatkavitz Obituary

96 years old, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at St. Patricks Manor Nursing Home in Framingham. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth M. (Cormier) Slatkavitz who died in 1995. Joseph was born in Framingham and was a life-long resident. He was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Pupalagis) Slatkavitz. Joseph was retired as a Machine Operator at the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham, where he worked for 50 yrs. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E. #894) the Dennison Associates, one of the original members of the Framingham Heart Study, the Callahan Senior Citizens Center, and attended the Windsor House Adult Day Center in Framingham. Joseph is survived by 2 sons, James M. Slatkavitz of Honolulu, HI, Paul J. Slatkavitz and his wife Delores "Lori" of Franklin, 2 daughters Deborah A. Compton and her husband David of Mt. Juliet, TN and Diane E. Hall and her husband Peter of No. Eastham, 1 brother, Walter Slatkavitz of Framingham, 2 grandchildren, Nicholas Slatkavitz and Lisa Slatkavitz, many nieces and nephews, and brother of the late William Slatkavitz, Bernard Slatkavitz, Thomas Slatkavitz, John Slatkavitz, Charles Slatkavitz, Lena Sarnosky and Mary Misalsky. The Funeral will take place on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 9:15am from the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., FRAMINGHAM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Stephen's Church, Concord St., Framingham. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham. Visiting hours at the Funeral Home are on Sunday from 3-6 pm. Donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the Windsor House Adult Day Center, 89 Bethany Rd., Framingham, MA 01702.
