Loving father of John R. and his wife Diane of Freedom, NH, Joseph F. and his wife Patricia of Waltham, MA, William C. and his wife Rose-Marie of Merrimack, NH, and Robert P. and his wife Deborah of Pembroke, MA. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gaffey Funeral Home, 43 High St., Medford Square, MEDFORD, on Thursday at 9:00 am. Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph's Church, Medford at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4:00 pm-8:00 pm. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Joseph was a member of the International Typographical Union, Boston Typographical Union, the Forever Young Club of Medford and the American Legion Post #377 in Somerville and retired from the Boston Globe after 30 years.
