JOYCE REGO

REGO, Joyce (Ballum) Age 84, formerly of Dedham, October 9, 2023 at her home at Edelweiss Village in West Roxbury surrounded by her immediate family. She is survived by her brother, Alexander (Sandy) Ballum of Florida; her son, Todd, and his wife, Donna (Brown) of Dedham; her granddaughter, Crystal (Rego) Cinelli, and her husband, Justin, of Rehoboth; and several nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Richard, sons Richard and Michael, and sisters Barbara Hood and Nancy Anderson. Joyce was born in Brockton then spent her high school years in Phillips, ME. She moved to Dedham where she married and raised her family, before retiring back to Phillips. She was happiest living in Maine. For years, she and her husband traveled the country on motorcycles with her close friends. She loved spending time at the beach, eating lobster, playing cards, and crocheting. She was loved by everyone she met, always smiling and sharing funny stories of her life. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends, as well as her dedicated health care team. Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Friday, Oct. 13 from 4:00-7:00pm. A graveside service will be held at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11:00am.
