JUDITH BEAN Obituary

BEAN, Judith C. 67, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2013 under the care of Old Colony Hospice and the loving staff at Alliance Health Center in Braintree. A lifelong resident of Quincy, she was the daughter of the late Newell & Carolyn (Jenks) Bean. Judi was a Purchasing Agent for MIT and retired in 2007. She had previously worked at the University of Massachusetts/Boston, and in the biotech and solar energy industries. She was a talented nature photographer and enjoyed traveling in the US, Caribbean, and abroad. Her love of animals, especially her cats Sadie and Maxi, led to her friendship with the Milton Animal Shelter. Judi was known as the Six-Degrees of Separation among her wide circle of friends, all of whom know each other because of her. Her unique style, remarkable memory, and amazing humor will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by cousins Debbie Jenks of Cohasset, Sally Jenks Ellis of Newton and David Jenks of Mendocino, CA. She spent her last days in the care of many close friends including Trish Kirby Chase of Quincy and Deirdre Dow-Chase of Osterville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judis memory to the Milton Animal Shelter, 181 Governor Stoughton Lane, Milton, MA 02186. Burial will be private.

Both my sister Joanne and I are very saddened by the passing of Judy. She was a life long friend, and a very special individual. There is a great picture of Judy dancing with my father, Leo, at Joanne,s,wedding, it would make Jackie Gleason jealous, an image we will hold dear, rest in peace Judy, Mike Burns.
