JULES H. MEYERS

MEYERS, Jules H. Of Chestnut Hill, MA, died at home, surrounded by his devoted family, at the age of 89, on Saturday, April 26, 2014. He was born in Passaic, NJ, the son of Jeanne and Julian Meyers. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Ruth, and his loving children Susan Meyers Seltzer and her husband Benjamin, Laura Meyers Lieberman and her husband Jay and Thomas Meyers and his wife Shari. He is also survived by six adored grandchildren Diane Seltzer, A. J. Seltzer, Danielle Lieberman, Samuel Lieberman, Jordan Lieberman and Genevieve (Gigi) Meyers. He was the brother of the late Ruth and Nathan Niederman of New Jersey. He served in the Army during World War II and was a graduate of Ohio University. He was the General Agent for the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company in Boston for 40 years, and then was a Senior Vice President at Mutual Benefit in Newark, N. J. An avid jogger, he also loved tennis and golf. He was a member of Pine Brook Country Club and for 38 years was a member of the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fl. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, at 9:30 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 1668 Beacon St., BROOKLINE. Interment will take place at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon, following services. Shiva will be observed at his home in Chestnut Hill, on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
