I was a young nurse at Beth Israel when I first met Kathy. I looked up to her. She was the type of nurse everyone wished they could be like. She had such tremendous wisdom and was always willing to share her experiences with others. She was a great teacher but what I will always remember most about Kathy is her kind smile and gentle heart. She will sorely be missed by her friends and colleagues but she will forever be a part of the legacy of Beth Israel Hospital. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

With Sympathy,

Phyllis West

I knew Kathy at work. I was a student and then a psychiatist at Beth Israel in the 90's. I worked with Kathy on the inpatient unit for several years. She was a nurse's nurse, a real professional: smart, caring, sensible and funny, a star among the BI's stellar nursing staff. Looking back I doubt I ever thanked her enough for her time, teaching and profesisonalism. None of us could have done our work without her.

My deepest condolences to her family on this terrible loss.
