Kevin's passing is a tremendous shock and loss to all of us. Working with him and getting to know him over the last twenty years has given me an ever increasing appreciation of his insight, judgement, and especially his friendship. Kevin was always there when anyone needed him. He would always volunteer to help. Our early morning or late afternoon phone calls would have me laughing so hard I could hardly see the road. The trips to Florida with Jane and Anita are lasting memories. I can only hope that Kevin realized how much he meant to his family, friends, and colleagues and how much he was appreciated. He will be missed but not forgotten.

One of the finest men I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Tireless, insightful, and endlessly eager to solve the next unsolvable problem. Always with a sense of humor, confidenc c.f.e, and innate intelligence that just wouldn't quit... and always with a great twinkle in his eye. Ready to go 100% of the time, and simply one of the best guys I've ever worked with. We will miss you very, very much, Kev. God speed to a special place on His team!

He will be remembered and missed by those who had the opportunity to get to know him. He left you all way to early but his devotion to his family and work will live on.

The last time I connected with Kevin was on March 22nd on FB when he reacted to a post I made about using one word that came to mind when someone had to describe me. Kevin picked the work "Fraternity". He and I worked together for two years from 2007 2009. During that time we created a very tight and trusting bond, and formed fun little friend group called Phi Bet PI. I even had coffee mugs made for the handful of us that were really close. He messaged me that same day that he still had the mug displayed in his office.
Since them weve kept in touch through Facebook and I've watch how he was so selfless and loving of Jane, Kevin, Joseph, Hailey and Christian.
Kevin was a fountain of knowledge, compassion, and love. While I hadnt seen him in a while, I always loved seeing his Facebook posts of time spent with family and the views from the ferry. I always considered him a dear friend and a man I truly admire and loved like brother.
A great man gone to soon.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. I am a former colleague from CMC. I recall Kevin's generosity to staff in need which was often done quietly without need of recognition. May you find comfort in happy memories.

Dear Burchill Family,
I worked with Kevin over the last few years at Steward. In just getting to know him-- what a class act! So smart, kind and at times hilarious! He always sent the best emails, and his jokes were always on point. He made a huge impact on our work with his knowledge and expertise. We all wanted more time to learn and grow from him. This seems so incredibly unfair. I can only imagine how he was towards his family... and how your hearts must ache. Wishing you peace during this horrible time. With sincere sympathy, Haley Claflin, Norwood Hospital.
