FITZMAURICE, Laurence Dorset Of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Wellesley, MA, December 4, 2025, Adoring husband of Ann (McQuaid) Fitzmaurice; loving father of Laura Fitzmaurice Ramel of Bluffton, SC, the late Peter Dorset Fitzmaurice and the late Meghan Fitzmaurice Dolan. Proud grandfather of Breandan, Erin and Meghan Fitzmaurice and Justin and Kristen Ramel. Survived by caring nieces and nephews and seven great-grandchildren. Larry was former Massachusetts State Comptroller, Commissioner of Revenue and member of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Board of Bar Overseers. Former Corporate Controller and VP Finance in private industry and VP in Marketing with State Street Corporation. Former President and CEO of the New England Center for Homeless Veterans and Treasurer and Board member of the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans in Washington, D.C. Larry was also a member of many boards and volunteer organizations. Adjunct Professor at the Northeastern Graduate School of Political Science. Coach for Leadership and Teamwork at Babson College. Wellesley Town Meeting member and former president Human Relations Service of Wellesley and Weston. A Funeral Mass was held for Larry at St. Paul Church, Wellesley, on Friday, December 12, 2025.
