Linda Lichtman Obituary

LICHTMAN, Linda (Steiner) Of Newton, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28th, 2025. Raised in Brighton, MA, Linda graduated from Brighton High and earned a degree in Psychology from Boston University. She met William "Billy" Lichtman on a blind date, and shared 64 years of marriage, raising two boys. Linda loved the outdoors, spending countless days sailing on the Charles River and many winters skiing in New England. She taught sailing at Camp Yavneh for 27 years and later served as a board member of Community Boating. She was also a long-time chaperone for the Mass Ski Club. Later in life, Linda crewed week-long sailing trips with her friends and was a member of the Top of the Hill Gang ski club. Linda's sense of adventure extended to travel, and she enjoyed planning world trips with her husband Billy. Linda loved reading and worked at the New England Mobile Book Fair for over 30 years. Her smile and warmth will be dearly missed by her husband Billy. She was the loving mother of Seth & his wife Pam of Glen Allen, VA and Joe & his wife Jenn of Needham; cherished grandmother of Jonah, Jesse, Sam and Ally; dear sister of the late Judy Blumsack.
