Dear family of Linda Small,

I am thinking of you this evening and wanted to let you know that I am praying that this transition, this new realty is at least peaceful. Your mother was a wonderful lady and I am glad I had the opportunity to be with her and work with her during her PT sessions. I remember watching her one day when she would interact with other residents; she was always so giving, understanding and concerned for others.

I am certain she is finally at rest and at peace, I know her transition was a difficult one but she also provided me with the reminder that Life is a gift and we must use our time here with purpose and grace.

Linda was one of the first women I met when I moved to Randolph in 1963. She was a delightful and funny lady. I remember two specific things about Linda. She was a great cook and created a wonderful Friday night dinner for us years ago. She filled me in with tidbits of Jewish cooking. I never forgot that meal. I also remember a phone conversation we had more recently. Linda told me I intimidated her! I was amazed and asked her why? She said I was always sure of myself and knew what I wanted to do. Well, I thought she was sure of herself and knew what she wanted to do. It seemed to me she had lived a rewarding and full life. She was active in many things, was a loving wife, brought up three wonderful children and contributed to the community. What a role model!

Dear family of Linda, I saw Linda's photo in the Boston Globe this morning and was shocked. I haven't seen her in many years but she's too young to be gone! I used to see her at least once a year when she was the nurse for Dr Alan Rashba. She was such a firecracker! Great wit, so funny. We used to banter back And forth, so much fun. She and I had a good relationship and rapport. She also was so proud of her kids and her Judaism. She was just a wonderful person, nurse and someone I was happy to know. I pray she is resting in peace w her husband and making them laugh in eternity. Best wishes, Donna L Copman
