FLINT, Lucas D. Of Braintree, formerly of East Bridgewater, passed away December 18, 2018 from injuries sustained when he was struck by an accused drunk driver while walking, at the age of 21. Lucas was born in Quincy and graduated from Archbishop Williams High School, Class of 2016. He worked at Hennessy News in Holbrook and at Laugh Boston Comedy Club in the Seaport District as a box office attendant. He was currently a junior at Emerson College, Class of 2020, where he was studying passionately about film and media. Loving son of Susan M. Murphy-Flint of Braintree and David Flint of Lake Whales, FL. Dear grandson of Gerard and Lois (Finnegan) Murphy of Braintree and the late Ralph and Dorothy Flint. Beloved nephew of Christine and John Sullivan of Manchester, CT, Jayne Murphy of Wollaston, Carolyn Murphy of Bridgewater, David Buck of Taunton, Donald Bertolino of Dennis Port and Kenneth and Anne Flint of Saugus. Devoted cousin to Jack and Molly Sullivan of Manchester, CT. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and a large extended family. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass to be held on Friday, December 28th, at 10:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Arrangements under the direction of the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., BRAINTREE. Through the generosity of Lucas being an organ donor, he gave his kidneys, liver, a lung and his heart, so that five people could live. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in his name to New England Donor Services, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451. I'm just seeing this post now & Im gutted. I'm a crossing guard at Hollis elementary school & had the pleasure of taking Lucas across my crosswalk most days. He was the most polite young man shy at first but the more I crossed him by my street the more he opened up just little things weather school & when he told me he was going to college he had a smile from ear to ear with both hands in his pockets and he would take out his ear buds out of his ears as he got closer to my walk way so I figured we would have a little chat today. I am so sorry for your loss & he brought a smile to my face every day he would come by. My heart aches & I'm saddened for your loss of his beautiful smile.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your son Lucas. I always thought a lot of you. You did a great job at the Hingham Post Office. I have been retired for twenty years. You did your work and never complained. It sounds as though you did a great job raising him all alone. Best of luck going forward.
