MAE N. ROTH

ROTH, Mae N. (Nehlig) Of Marshfield, passed on Feb. 27, 2013 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Robert "Bob" with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Mother of Barbara Mae Roth of Kingston, Robert G. Roth of Kissimmee, FL, Laurence A. Roth of Windham, NH and Peggy Roth Major of Scituate. Mae is lovingly survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and by her younger brother Andrew Nehlig of Rydal, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she moved with her family to MA in 1970. With her youngest children in high school, she began a life dedicated to others by volunteering, first at Sunlight House in Scituate (where she lived for 30 years), then at South Shore Hospital where she worked on the 3rd floor of Pratt North and finally many years as a hospice volunteer. Mae was an active member of First Trinitarian Congregational Church of Scituate where she held various positions including chairman of the Diaconate. Mae valued friendships and was careful to maintain contact with the many she befriended over the years. A memorial service is planned for March 9th at 11:00 AM at the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, Scituate.
