Years after her passing i am finding out she is no longer with us. I knew her in our growing up years in Bangor and and she was such a nice person. It sounds like she had a wonderful family and life. I have read and enjoyed her books. My condolences to her family. May her memory be a blessing.

I didn't know Ms. Medwed personally, but loved her "Browning" novel (so did my late mom) and a funny article she wrote for the Times on growing up with parents who pretended to be rich. I copied the latter and sent it to all my siblings! Deepest sympathies to her family.

I had the pleasure of caring for Mameve. She was such a lovely individual and truly an inspiration. She will be missed. My deepest condolences to her family and friends
