MARGARET HELEN SORENSEN

SORENSEN, Margaret Helen (Thompson) Of Stoneham, died at the age of 95 on October 28, 2021. She was born on June 7, 1926 to Arnold Kenneth and Rubena (Keddy) Thompson of Malden. Margaret married Raymond Sorensen in 1949, both of them were 1944 graduates of Stoneham High School. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University and served as director of the Stoneham Senior Center. She was a lifelong poet and craftswoman. In addition to her devoted husband Raymond, Margaret is survived by her two loving daughters Bette Jean (and husband Arthur) Norton and Marcia (and husband Robert) Strykowski, and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by her brother Gilbert Thompson and sister Edna Lord and predeceased by her sister Rubena Elizabeth DiPietro. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to Visiting Hours on Monday, November 8th at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Rt. 28), STONEHAM from 3-7p.m. Parking attendants and elevator available.
