MARILYN DOWNES Obituary
(Estabrook)
Of Westwood, March 8. Beloved wife of Russell E. Downes and dear mother of Kenneth R. Downes, and his wife Kate, of Shelburne Falls, Susan A. Downes-Borko, and her husband Victor, of Rangeley, ME, and Nancy L. Hastings, and her husband Christopher, of Los Angeles, CA. Dear sister of Alan Estabrook of Orleans and Linda Holden of Shrewsbury. Loving grandmother of Samuel Downes, Lauren Downes, and Isabelle Hastings. Also survived by her Brazilian son Paulo Matos, and his wife Mary Wentworth, and their children Vanessa and Eliana Matos. Marilyn was the church organist and choir director of the First Baptist Church of Westwood for 55 years. A Memorial Concert will be held Sat, May 16th at 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church, 808 High Street, Westwood, MA 02090. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church (address above) to be used to support the music ministry of the church. For obituary and guest book please visit website.
