MARIO A. RAMPINO Jr.

RAMPINO, Mario A. Jr. Age 81, of Hyde Park and Campton, NH, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. The son of the late Mario and Ruth Rampino, he was raised in Hyde Park. After graduation from Hyde Park High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War and was awarded numerous Purple Hearts. After the service, he joined the Boston Police Department as a patrolman. Prior to his retirement, he joined the Mobile Operations Unit as a motorcycle officer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and his motorcycles. It was his love of fishing and the quiet outdoors that drew him to New Hampshire. Father of Andria Rampino (Joshua Bombardier) of Abington, Peter Rampino of Whitman, and the late Lisa Rampino of Norwell. Also survived by his wife, Judith Rampino of Whitman. Grandfather of Matthew, Patrick, and George. Brother of Deborah Babineau (Reginald) of Scituate, Raymond of Vero Beach, FL, Anthony (Michelle) of Medford, and the late Gerard. Brother-in-law of Nancy Rampino of Carver. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, HANOVER, on Friday from 8:30-9:30 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at Resurrection Church, 1057 Main St., Rte. 228, Hingham, at 10 AM.
