Martha Byron Obituary

BYRON, Martha (Trueman) Of Weymouth formerly of Braintree, died December 21st at her home. She was born in Boston, was raised and educated in Roslindale and Boston. A 1955 graduate of St Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing, her career as an RN spanned 37 yrs in acute care and geriatric nursing. She retired in 1992. Formerly a Braintree resident for 28 yrs, she has resided in Weymouth since 1992. Beloved wife of Thomas H. Byron of Weymouth. Mother of Thomas S. Byron and his wife Karen of Bedford, NH, Christine L. McMaster & her husband Leo of Braintree, Robin M. Cushing & her husband Joseph of Milton, Mark P. Byron & his wife Diane of Hanson, Martha J. Byron of Brockton & Kyle J. Byron & his wife Thomascyne of Hanson. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of unconditional love. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37) Holbrook Thursday at 9:00am followed by a funeral mass in St. Claire Church, Braintree at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Interment Braintree Cemetery.

Dear Tom and Family,

We were so sorry to hear of Martha's passing from John from the Ostomy group. It has been a pleasure to know this kind, caring woman with the wonderful smile and great sense of humor. We only knew her from the support group but will always treasure her kindness and friendship.
