Dear Bob and Family;
I just today found out about Mary's passing. The O'Brien's have many great memories of you guys hanging out with Mom and Dad at the house on King Street. Although years have past, I remember Mary being such a vibrant happy person.
My mom Kay loved you guys. My husband and I are living with her now she is doing well, I would have taken her to church. So sorry we didn't know. I will have a mass said on my mother's behalf and I speak for all my brothers and sisters when I say will we keep you all in our prayers.
Sincerely,
Mary O'Brien DeMariano, Kay O'Brien and family. (Dorchester)

Dear Dad,
Just wanted to say THANKS for making such a great choice for us. Ma was the best!!! You two have always been such an inspiration for me. You made such a great team. Your enormous love, devotion, and strength gave her the courage to be selfless for us. The passion (Yes, that madness was passionate too!) and commitment you shared for each other motivates me everyday! If I am able to do half of the accomplishments you two have shared, I will consider myself rich & successful.
I am confident that the love you shared will continue to encourage us during our difficult moments. Although Ma doesn’t walk with us, she lives through the love and strengthen you have so generously given to us in her absences. True partners do that – pick up the job of the other even when they don’t feel like it is their job! You both taught us that not with words but by your interaction with each other and everyone who entered our lives.
Words cannot express my gratitude to both of you for your undying love, which has given me more comfort than I would have ever thought possible. You made that impossible task of letting go easy by teaching us to rely on each other. Together, you taugh us how to be the wonderful family we are. I am appreciate being able to lean on each of my siblings. Seeing the strenghtens in all of us and accepting our shortcoming has made the past few days tolerable. That was the gift you both gave us!
I am opening my heart for everyone because I need to share the incredible and overwhelming love I feel, which will live on even with the permanence of leaving the mortal world behind. It has softened my grief. I am so blessed and just want everyone to know just how thankful I am!
All my gratitude, respect, love and devotion.
Anne Marie

So sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I remember meeting her many years ago...another nurse with a kind face and soft voice...another role model for me. What a wonderful family she has left behind. We Hugheses were lucky to have the Hobins as our good friends.
God Bless.
