MARY TROUT Obituary

Trout, Mary (Marcotte)
A lifelong resident of Cambridge passed away on Nov. 19, 2012 in Tyrone, GA. She was the daughter of late Peter and Margaret Marcotte and was married to Roy Trout for 53 years. Mary is survived by her son, Roy J. Trout and his wife BJ, granddaughter Jennifer and husband Frank, and grandson Chris and wife Crystal. She also had four great grandchildren: Diego, Julia, Sara and Kate. Mary is also survived by a sister, Louise Hegarty of Arlington and five sisters-in-law: Anna Marcotte of Arlington, Helena Marcotte of Middleboro, Louise Marcotte of The Villages in FL, and Mildred Summers and Laurette Trout of Fairfield Glade, TN. A graduate of Cambridge Latin High School, Mary worked a variety of jobs finally retiring from the Cambridge Paper Box Company when the plant at Broadway and Portland St. closed in the early 70's. She led a very active life in retirement and was an early organizer of the North Cambridge Senior Center volunteering to manage card games and other activities 2 to 3 days per week. She and her sister Louise frequently participated in the WOW group and line dancing. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Friday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in John's Church, Cambridge at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Parking available at Pemberton Garden Center. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
