Mary and I were in the same homeroom RHS Revere High School. I remember her being cute and very friendly. She would always say hello. We were always in the same homeroom, because of our last names Toothaker and Williams.
My prayers go out to her family.

I knew Mary way back in high school. RHS
I visited her and met her mother and Ralph .. your grandmother was such a warm and friendly woman .. I’m sure that Mary learned quite a bit from her. Mary was the nicest girl I met ..one thing though that pony tail. ! She had the best pony tale ever ... and a huge gentle smile.
She was a true friend and an incredibly good person
Oh, I still remember her working at I think it was Mr. Donut !! She is in my heart and you are all in my prayers. !!

Eulogy by Suzanne Santorelli-Daughter
Our Mother-Mary Trunfio
My mother was born on October 28, 1943 to Michael and Regina Williams. At age 4 she lost her father and her mother raised both her and her brother, Ralph.
At 16 years old, her junior year in high school she was on the school newspaper. My father, Paul was also a junior at the same high school. They were in the same homeroom. He thought she was the most beautiful girl in the school and was attracted to her. He cut out a picture of her from the school newspaper and hung the picture in his locker. My mother’s cousin saw this photo hanging in my dad’s locker and told my mother. Their first date was the Junior Prom. This was the beginning of their love story.
They dated all through the rest of high school and college. They married after my dad graduated college on August 21, 1966.
My mother worked in Boston as a secretary at the State House and stopped working when she had my brother Paul, 2 years later, my sister Christine and 5 years later myself.
My mother’s life was being a wife to my father for 54 years, and being an amazing mother to the 3 of us. Many would say she dedicated her life to her family. Family was everything to her and she was everything to her family.
She was not only dedicated to her children, but dedicated to her mother and in laws, Nana & Papa. The love she had for them was truly amazing. We grew up watching her always take care of her mother and her in-laws. I always told her growing up, I will take care of you too, I promise.
There was no question or second guessing when my mother got sick. My father, brother, sister and I did what we saw her do with her mother and Nana and Papa. Now it was our time, we took care of her. We learned a lot in those 5 weeks taking care of her at home. She was a fighter and she wasn’t ready to leave her family.
My mother was also blessed with 9 beautiful grandchildren. Every one of them was so special to her. She did not have any favorites and cherished the times she spent with each and every one of you. I was lucky enough to have my mother watch my 3 children. She loved taking them for walks, reading with them, cooking with them, having “Nana’s school” and showing them off to the neighborhood. When they walked into the door they immediately ran into her arms. Her arms were always opening wide and waiting for them.
On January 16, 2021 my beautiful mother passed away with her family all around her. The day started off rainy, dreary and windy. My dad, sister, brother and I were by her side. Her favorite song was playing. As a mother, she heard our first’s breaths. As her children we saw her take her last. The sky then began to clear and the rain stopped.
When anyone would come to my parents’ house, you always felt so welcome and when it was time to leave everyone knew to look up at the big picture window. There my mother and father always stood waving goodbye, with a smile as you drove away. Now there will be one waving from the picture window. I will wave to my Dad and look up in the sky. I will wave to my mother for I know she’s there, looking down from Heaven and watching from Heavens big window.
I want you to all close your eyes and think of a special memory you had of my beautiful mother. As I read this poem and we say farewell to our dear mother please keep that memory you have in your mind.
Farewell Dear Mother
Somewhere in my heart beneath all my grief and pain,
Is a smile I still wear at the sound of your dear name.
The precious word is ‘MOTHER’, she was my world you see,
But now my heart is breaking cause she’s no longer here with me.
God chose her for His angel to watch me from above,
To guide me and advise me and know that I’m still loved.
The day she had to leave me when her life on earth was through,
God had better plans for her, for this, I surely knew.
When I think of her kind heart and all those loving years,
My memories surround me and I can’t hold back the tears.
She truly was my best friend, someone I could confide in,
She always had a tender touch and a warm and gentle grin.
I want to thank you Mother for teaching me so well,
And though the time has come that I must bid you this farewell.
I’ll remember all you’ve taught me and make you proud you’ll see.
Thank you my Dear Mother for all the love you showed me.
Although you’ve left this earth and now you’ve taken flight,
I know that you are here with me each morning, noon and night.
Rest in peace my beautiful mom. I love you and I know you will be our Angel and watch us from above. I know you are in your mother’s arms that you longed to see again. There will not be a day I won’t think of you and wish I could pick up the phone and hear your beautiful voice or see your gentle smile. I will miss you for the rest of my life. Until we see each other again. You will be waiting with your arms opening wide for me.
