I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Wohls. I am a physician who regarded Dr. Wohl as a mentor. She was my first real mentor in the complete sense. I am indebted to her encouragement and guidance. During my rotation, I recognized her passion for her patients and her devotion to their care. May she rest in peace.

To the Wohl family:
I'm a parent of a CF patient who will be forever thankfulfor her care and consideration, and for deciding to focus a great mind on a disease I knew nothing about until my child was diagnosed 39 years ago(she's still going strong). It might not always have been good for you, but I'm very grateful that she shared so much of herself with her patients and their families.

Mary Ellen trained many of the pediatric pulmonologist working around the country and, indeed, the world. Her kindness and grace were an inspiration to many. She was as great a person as she was a physician. Pediatric pulmonology will bear her mark for generations. Our sympathy to her family. She spoke often her husband and her children often. We will pray for her and them.

My daughter was a patient of Dr Wohl at the Pulmonary clinic at Children's Hospital. She was a wonderful doctor and a pioneer in respitory medicine. The children with CF will always be thankful for her contribution to the medical field. Because of her the quality of life of most CF patients has greatly improved. God Bless her and her family.

Dear Dr Whohl,
You don't know me, and I have never met you.
But I met your wife, Dr. Mary Ellen Wohl in the most difficult moments of my life, when I thaught I would loose my girl to an horrible complication with her cysyic fibrosis.
I guess God blessed me and my daughter, when we were put under your wifes care.
Dr. Mary Ellen, fought for my girl as a lion. My girl is alive ,and raising her own little girl. For that, I will always bless her, and her family, and I will be gratefull to her to the day I die.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of such a wonderful human been and brilliant doctor. I am sure you must be missing her as I and my daughter do.
