GREENE, Maureen (Lynch) In West Roxbury, October 28, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Francis Greene. Loving Mother of Maureen Greene O'Leary and her husband Donald of Westwood & the late Seamus Greene and his wife Rosemary of New York. Grandmother of Grainne O'Leary McManus and her husband Martin of West Roxbury, Kieran O'Leary and his wife Stefanie of Foxborough, Sinead O'Leary of West Roxbury, Ciara Erdman and her husband Michael of New York, and Conor Greene of New York. Daughter of the late Mary Clark and Cornelius Lynch. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Edmund Lynch, Nancy O'Hear, Madge McGee, Owen Lynch, and Gerard Lynch. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Maureen immigrated to the U.S. in 1961. Founder of the Greene School of Irish Dancing in 1940. Mrs. Greene touched the lives of countless numbers of children through teaching Irish dancing. She was a member of the Irish Dancing Commission in Dublin Ireland, The North American Irish Dancing Teachers Association, and the Irish Dancing Teachers Association of New England. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Monday, November 3, 2014 at 9 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Susanna Parish at 10 o'clock. Visiting hours Sunday 3-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
