My friendship with Mavis goes back 40 years to when we met in Germany when our late husbands, Rod and Hans, worked for Braun. I will always remember the wonderful and witty conversations Mavis and I had over the years - Mavis was a very bright, beautiful and kind person who will be sorely missed by all who had the honour and privilege of knowing her . May she rest in peace.

Mavis made me feel welcome always and especially when I moved to Boston. She managed many challenges for her beloved Hans. I recall our last visit and her quiet strength and grace as we visited Hans resting place. She was a great friend and confidant who I will miss.
