Max Addy Obituary
Max R. Addy, 22, born June 14th, 1992, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 28th. Max is survived by his parents, Thomas and Melissa; his brother, Cal; his great-grandmother, Else Livingston; his grandmothers, Charlotte Addy and Yolanda Whipple; his grandfather, Lanny Livingston; his uncles, Dan, Mitch (Julie), Doug (Jen), and Paul (Monica); as well as many, many cousins. He was predeceased by his great-grandfather, Raymond Livingston; his grandfather, Douglas D. Addy; and his uncle, Rick Addy. Max graduated from Newfield High School in 2010 as an exceptional student athlete and was captain of both the baseball and basketball teams. He earned many honors in both school and athletics. Max graduated from Ithaca College this past May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. He played baseball for the Bombers, and in 2013 the team finished third in the country after a trip to the College World Series in Appleton, Wisconsin. Max's most recent passion was to become a third generation line mechanic, following in the footsteps of his Dad, Tom, his uncle, Dougie and his grandfather, Douglas. He was attending the Southeast Lineman Training Center in Trenton, GA. He was one of 15 linemen to receive the "woodwalker" Award out of 200 possible candidates. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church. Friends may call Wednesday evening December 3, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Immaculate Conception Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Newfield Booster Club in Max's memory. Bangs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

To the Addy family,
I'm so deeply sad about Max. It was difficult at first to intake the drastic news and change that I knew was coming for a lot of people in his life. I know what it is like to lose a direct family member, I've been there. Not everyone will understand the explicit pain you're experiencing, but support in all matters help! Take a deep breath and exhale, remind yourself everyday of everything you have to be grateful for. I know Max might not be physically here but he's within you, in your hearts, in all of our hearts.

My heart breaks for Max, and for all the family and the friends whose lives Max touched in his short time with us. I am so sorry for your loss and the sadness you must bear at this time. Max was a student of mine in the Business School at Ithaca College and I enjoyed having him as a student.
